Hello, I'm
MA Digital Humanities
Bridging technology and the humanities through data-driven research, cultural analysis, and digital storytelling.
I am a Digital Humanities researcher with a passion for uncovering stories hidden within data. My work sits at the intersection of computational methods and humanistic inquiry — using tools like text mining, data visualization, and GIS to ask new questions about culture, history, and society.
With an MA in Digital Humanities, I bring both critical thinking and technical skill to every project. Whether it's building a digital archive, mapping cultural networks, or designing interactive exhibits, I aim to make knowledge accessible and engaging.
When I'm not coding or analysing datasets, you'll find me exploring museum collections, writing about the impact of technology on culture, or contributing to open-source digital humanities tools.
University College London (UCL)
Thesis: "Mapping Cultural Networks in 19th-Century Periodical Literature" — applied topic modelling and geospatial analysis to Victorian periodicals, revealing previously unseen connections between literary circles and regional publishing hubs.
University of Manchester
First Class Honours. Developed strong analytical and writing skills; minored in Digital Culture, introducing computational approaches to literary study.
University of Victoria
Intensive workshops in text encoding (TEI), network analysis, and digital pedagogy.
UCL Department of Information Studies
Supporting the Connected Histories project — developing search and linking tools for heterogeneous digital historical resources. Responsibilities include data cleaning, API integration, and user-experience testing with academic researchers.
British Library Digital Lab
Designed interactive data visualisations for the library's heritage collections. Built dashboards that surfaced metadata patterns across 10,000+ digitised items, improving discoverability for remote researchers.
University of Manchester
Led seminar sessions on Introduction to Digital Humanities, guiding students through text analysis workflows in Python and XML encoding in TEI.
An interactive web tool for mapping and visualising cultural-historical networks. Built with Python, NetworkX, and D3.js, it enables researchers to explore relationships between people, places, and texts.
A curated digital corpus of 19th-century periodicals with TEI-encoded transcriptions. Supports full-text search, metadata filtering, and topic-modelling exploration via an integrated Voyant Tools instance.
An interactive dashboard built during an internship at the British Library. Visualises metadata patterns across 10,000+ digitised heritage items, surfacing hidden connections and improving discoverability.
An open-access collection of Jupyter Notebooks and lesson plans for teaching computational text analysis in humanities classrooms. Developed while a GTA at the University of Manchester.
I'm always keen to discuss Digital Humanities opportunities, collaborations, or simply exchange ideas. Whether you have a project in mind or just want to connect, don't hesitate to reach out.
